Will Jennings

Will Jennings, Dayton Estate Planning and Probate Attorney

Attorney William “Will” L. Jennings obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Toledo College of Law (Toledo Law) and his Bachelor’s of Science degree from Missouri State University.  While attending Toledo Law, Will took courses in Contract Law, Elder Law, Property Law, and Trusts & Estates and was the highest ranking student in the Air Pollution-Laws & Regulations course.

Will was compelled to pursue a practice in estate planning due to a blood clot that caused him to spend 10 days in the intensive care unit at a hospital during his first semester in law school.  It was Will’s near-death experience and second chance at life that opened his eyes to the importance of estate planning in every stage of life and taught him how to be truly thankful for the time that God gives us to live.  Psalm 90:12 "Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom."

Will began developing and applying the skills that he would later bring to Roberson Law while working at his own law practice in Toledo, Ohio.  Will also worked in financial planning as the Director of a financial planning department and helped design, develop, and deliver comprehensive financial plans.  Because of Will’s prior work experience and education, Will is knowledgeable in many aspects of financial and estate planning.  Will is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association where he is part of the Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law Section.

Prior to earning his undergraduate degree, Will was part of a team that traveled across America ministering at churches and to youth groups.  While ministering during a February youth service in Garrett, Indiana, Will met Gretchen, and the rest “is history.”  Will and Gretchen have been married since 1999 and have four children.

Long before Will started his career as an attorney, he aspired to be a graphic designer and computer animator for Disney.  To this day, he still uses his design and tech skills in his free time.  Will likes to brag that he has an original hand-drawn portrait of Ariel from a Disney animator who worked on the original animation for The Little Mermaid.

Will is passionate about helping people protect God’s calling for their life and wants to empower, influence, and motivate people to be effective stewards of the resources God has given them.
